Amazon’s Great Indian Festival 2026 is now open to all customers, bringing the company’s biggest festive shopping event of the year to the general public from midnight on October 8.
Prime members received early access from October 7, but the main sale is now available to everyone. Amazon is promoting discounts across smartphones, laptops, televisions, appliances, fashion, beauty, home products and everyday essentials, alongside bank discounts, exchange offers and no-cost EMI options. Times of India reports that Amazon is also highlighting its fastest delivery capabilities for selected products.

The sale is now open beyond Prime members
The Great Indian Festival started with early access for Prime members on October 7, giving them a 24-hour head start. From midnight on October 8, the sale opened to all Amazon India customers.
Amazon says the event covers lakhs of products and is offering some of its lowest prices of the year. The company is also promoting faster delivery through Amazon Now, which is available in more than 120 cities for eligible products.
Smartphones are among the biggest attractions
Several smartphone deals are already being highlighted as major sale offers. According to Times of India, the iPhone 16 is listed at an effective price of ₹71,999 during the sale, including applicable offers. The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra is being offered at ₹84,999, compared with its ₹1,29,999 launch price in India.
Other advertised smartphone offers include the Nothing Phone (4b) at ₹27,999, iQOO Z11 Lite 5G at ₹15,499 and OnePlus Nord CE 5 at ₹33,999. These prices can depend on payment method, stock and other eligibility conditions, so shoppers should verify the final price shown at checkout.
Bank offers can make the advertised prices lower
Bank promotions are an important part of the sale because some headline prices include discounts that are only available when customers use an eligible payment method.
Amazon is offering a 10% instant discount with eligible SBI debit and credit cards, including eligible credit-card EMI transactions. Amazon Pay ICICI Bank Credit Card users can also receive cashback under the applicable terms.
There are also exchange offers and no-cost EMI options on selected products. Because these benefits vary by product, payment method and eligibility, the price displayed on a particular product page is more useful than a general sale percentage.
Electronics and home appliances are also in focus
The sale extends well beyond smartphones. Amazon is promoting offers across laptops, tablets, televisions, headphones, speakers, kitchen appliances, large appliances, personal-care products and smart-home devices.
Amazon’s own devices are also receiving special attention, including Echo smart speakers, Fire TV products and Alexa-enabled devices. The company is positioning these deals alongside offers from major brands including Apple, Samsung, Sony, LG and Xiaomi.

Amazon Now adds a speed angle to the sale
This year’s event also puts more emphasis on delivery speed. Amazon says Amazon Now has expanded to more than 120 cities, allowing eligible products to be delivered within minutes in supported locations.
That matters for the sale because consumers are increasingly comparing not only discounts but also how quickly an order can arrive. The fastest delivery options are generally limited to selected products and locations, so availability should be checked before placing an order.
What shoppers should check before buying
A large festive sale can make a discount look better than it actually is. Shoppers should compare the current selling price with the product’s recent price history, check whether the advertised figure requires a specific bank card, and look carefully at exchange conditions and EMI terms.
For expensive electronics, warranty coverage, seller information, return eligibility and the exact model or storage configuration are also worth checking. A large percentage discount is not necessarily the same thing as the lowest price available.
It is also worth remembering that promotional prices and inventory can change during the sale. A product advertised at a particular price may go out of stock, change sellers or lose an additional bank benefit later in the event.
The festive shopping battle is now fully underway
Amazon’s sale comes at the same time as Flipkart’s Big Billion Days, putting India’s two biggest e-commerce platforms into direct competition during the festive shopping season. Both are using smartphones, electronics, bank offers and limited-time deals to attract shoppers.
For consumers, the competition could mean aggressive pricing across popular categories. But the best deal will depend on the final effective price, payment eligibility, stock and delivery availability rather than the headline discount alone.
